In addition to our weekly Friday Night Community Meal at 5:30 p.m., we host Boy Scout troop #15 and provide a space for Alcoholics Anonymous (7 p.m. Thursday), AlAnon, and a Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School pre-school playgroup, as well as a parents of autistic children’s group.

As the village Protestant church, we feel it’s important that our sanctuary is open to all.  Many baptisms, funerals, and marriages take place here.  We host the Hilltown Harmony Chorus and other concerts and offer open Bible study, lectures, and symposia.

Our Trinity Men’s and Women’s groups are involved with numerous fundraising events, including annual Easter and Thanksgiving bake sales, and fund many opportunities for charitable giving

Our church is physically accessible to all. Services are broadcasted weekly on Falls Cable Corporation’s local television channel 17.

11/29 Asylum Project concert

We will host Charlie King and Rick Burkhardt in concert for The Asylum Project, supporting the LGBT community.

Wednesday, Nov. 29, 7-9 p.m. $10 donation (no one turned away; all proceeds go to the Asylum project.)
The two award-winning writers/performers bring to social commentary a passion for comic insight and a well-turned phrase. Edgy harmonies, incendiary lyrics, powerful instrumentation and theatrical hijinks!
Burkhardt is an Obie-award-winning playwright, composer, director, songwriter, and accordionist for The Prince Myshkins. King is a songwriter, musical storyteller and political satirist. His songs have been recorded and sung by Pete Seeger, Holly Near, Ronnie Gilbert, John McCutcheon, Arlo Guthrie, Peggy Seeger, and Chad Mitchell.

 11/21 Ecumenical Thanksgiving service

The annual West County Thanksgiving service will be held this year at the Mary Lyon Church, Upper Street, Buckland on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. If you want to sing in the choir, come to rehearse from 6-7 p.m. This year's service theme is "and yet. . .we hope and give thanks." Come sing, pray, listen to an inspiring message of hope from despair and share your thanks. A free-will donation will be collected to assist women and children in Syria.

Join us for the 31st Annual Franklin County CROP Hunger Walk, a program of Church World Services. Part of the money raised to help end hunger stays right here and is contributed to our very own Friday Night Community Meal.

Sunday, Oct. 15 at the 2nd Congregational Church, Greenfield. 2:30 p.m.  Join the walk or make a pledge. Call the church office at 413-625.2341.
